Master

In spirituality, the word master means "a worker or artisan qualified to teach apprentices." That is, they are a teacher, a helper, not a tyrant or authority to be worshipped.

"And, behold, one came and said unto [Jesus], Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." —Jesus, in Matthew 19

"But be not ye called Rabbi [master]: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ." —Jesus, in Matthew 23

Although many people claim to be "masters," the truth is that the terrestrial person is only a terrestrial person. The only one who can be a master is the Innermost, Atman, the Father, Chesed.
